Simplifying
Yes, I am simplifying. In my life, in my work….wish dating were simpler, but oh well, I do what I can. 
In that vein, I am simplifying things at Life In Stills. I’ve modified my packages to make it easier for my clients, and as a result, easier for me. Win/win for everyone.
Take a look at our site, under portrait pricing for more info. You will see that there is much less to choose from, but that is what makes it so great. You choose what works for you, and we shoot, have fun and you get great pictures. I believe that these changes are also better on everyone’s pocketbooks because let’s face it, everyone is feeling the pinch right now, and that shouldn’t dissuade anyone from getting portraits done. Great portraits. Sure, anyone can go to the big box portrait studios and get hundreds of pictures for under $50. But do you really want your pictures to look the same as everyone else’s? I believe, and I know that many other lifestyle, environmental family photographers agree, that everyone should have access to fabulous, unique pictures that really allow your children’s/ family’s personalities to shine.
Us photographers have a great job. We get to document your family’s lives, and our challenge is to get those one of a kind portraits that will leave you, the client breathless with awe at the beauty captured. By allowing us the freedom to follow your child around with our camera, at their level, instead of having them sit in a generic studio where you get three shots to choose from, we can meet that challenge. Or getting your family laugh those deep belly laughs that show true joy, not posed and fake smiles, well that is what we want you to have. This is why generally, you can expect to pay a higher price for portrait photography done by independent photographers. However, we realize these are tough times for everyone, so we walk a fine line between paying ourselves enough to support our own families and also providing value for your hard earned dollars.
This is why Life In Stills has chosen to simplify. I am not providing all sorts of high priced products as the ultimate end point. Sure some of those products are still there, but I want you to be able to walk away from our session with something in hand. If you want more, we have it. But take a look at our new packages and you will see, that we have something for everyone.
As a thank you for your continued support, and as homage to this spring season that seems literally just around the corner (did we even have a winter?), I am going to give you, my clients something to celebrate. Tax season is upon us, and who doesn’t like to get something back at tax time? Any packages booked before April 30th, will get an extra 20% off the already discounted print pricing. So that gives you 40% off of prints and products! And as a bonus, I will thrown in 2 extra images to package A, or 2 extra prints to package B! Baby’s first year? How about $100 off!
Our wedding packages have changed as well. Take a look at that if you are engaged or know someone who is. All weddings booked before March 31st will receive a $500 print credit! If you refer someone to me and they book? I will GIVE you completely free, a package B family session, or 25% off any other session! How’s that for love?
