Boats and Sweets | North Vancouver Photographer
We went down to Lonsdale Quay on Saturday to take in some of the Winter Fest activities that are coinciding with the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. It was dismal and rainy and not much was going on, but we entertained ourselves, the kids got free fries from McDonald’s, and there is this Russian Yacht docked there that you can take tours of, or eat. We didn’t do either, but we did walk around exploring and I snapped some pictures.
My Wyatt got a clown’s nose from the Cirque Du Soleil booth that was there.

We tried out some rocket boarding…

I loved that I could see the boys through the life preserver. Had to capture it, and had to act fast!

They were quite fascinated by trying to give us heart attacks…

And on the way out, to go home, they had to buy candy…

I put this together because the images worked so well in a triptych. I think I may print this out as greeting cards. Or something.

It was a cold and wet day, but nothing beats being next the ocean, with the smells and clanging of masts. Oh and we can’t forget the seagulls.
